Happy Birthday HayHay!

First and foremost, Happy Birthday to my little HayHay!  One year old already!
I guess to catalog the last month for everyone, I'll start at the most recent, and work backward.  This last Friday night, we had a little party for Hayden's birthday.  It was so much fun to get all of our friends together in our teeny-tiny house and chat.  The food turned out pretty good, but of course, I made way to much.  I must take after my mom!  Hayden was a little pumpkin, and I was a witch, but I didn't get a good picture, so we'll have to take one on Halloween.  I was pretty happy with how his Birthday cake turned out.  It had little ghosts on it.  Thank you Martha Stewart!
We also recently had the chance to travel to Pheonix for Nate to assist his Dad in a dental conference he attended.  We had a great time staying with Tricia and Butch and seeing Nate's Mom and his sister, Tiff, and her family.  Trish is amazing and threw the cutest birthday party for Hayden!  It was so nice to be able to celebrate with family.  Of course he liked the candle and plate better than the cupcake!

Mimi also bought Hayden an entire winter wardrobe while we were there.  She is the best!  How does he look with long, blonde hair?!?

Last, but not least, some random pictures that I loved.

Happy Fall!

Kate I was amazed by your cake!!! I came home and told Josh all about it because it was soo cool!
And the food was soo delish! Just so you know, I went on and on about how awesome your party was to Josh. He was sad he missed it. Josh asked, "did she do all that food all by herself?" If you did and you're like me, you would've had to do it a week ahead!
talent.
And Hayden is turning out to be such a handsome fellow.

Wow One already! Happy Birthday Hayden! Isn't it so much fun to have a B-day party for your child. I think I start thinking about the parties long before my kids. Well, maybe not before Lexi, she is thinking about her next birthday the day after her actual birthday. Cute cake!

Hi Kate! I am so glad you found our blog. I am thinking that in 16 years or so, we may have to introduce Hayden and Lauren...
