Welcome to the HEAT!

We had such a good time in Mesa this past weekend visiting our friends Tricia and Butch! They are so good to us and treated us like royalty all weekend! We ate out a ton (Cafe Rio!), got in a little shopping and swimming, and went to a Diamond Backs baseball game while we were there. It was definetely HOT, HOT, HOT, but a quick dip in the pool was heaven! Their new house is amazing and it has a little guest house just off the pool that we stayed in, so it was like we were in our own little beach resort right at their house! If only there weren't scorpions there, I might consider moving right in! Hayden loved the pool and is the best little swimmer. He absolutely loves the water. Their pool has a waterfall with a little cave behing it that Hayden was intrigued with. Every time we went outside, he was starring at the waterfall. It was pretty funny. Here are a few cute pictures of Hayden and Nate:

Before the baseball game, we ate at Pei Wei (which is just like PF Chang's) so I was in heaven! Here is Hay enjoying his first fortune cookie. I think he likes it!

And here we are at the baseball game. Our seats were AMAZING! We were on an upper balcony in the handicapped seats (don't ask me how Butch got these seats, but we loved it!) so we were able to bring Hayden't stroller and he reclined in it and watched the game. Sadly, they lost, but there were quite a few home runs and good plays, so it was a fun game to watch. The field is really cool and has a retractible roof and sides, so when it's hot, they can close the roof and turn on the AC which we definetely needed!

Tricia and Butch with Hayden. Half way through the game, Hayden started to get a little restless and tired, so Nate broke out the graham crackers and saved the day. You can't really tell from this picture, but Hayden had them everywhere! I thought I cleaned him off pretty good after he finished, but the next morning I was still finding crumbs behing his ears and in his hair. He was a mess, but it kept him happy!

Trish also bought Hayden his first baseball shirt. It says "My First D-Backs Tee" on it and boy did he look cute in it! Hopefully, there will be many more baseball jerseys to come! Thanks Trish and Butch for a great weekend ~ we had such a good time and loved seeing your new digs!

I'm jealous. It looks like you had a very fun trip. I believe you when you say it was hot. Did it stay below 110 degrees anytime during your trip?

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!! We missed you in Idaho! Butch and Tricia never dissappoint!!! We are hoping to get there sometime this summer to see them and their new house! We know what you mean when you say HOT also. We don't quite reach as high as AZ does, but once its over 100 what's the difference right!! Sure miss you guys!

I love Arizona- except for right now because it gets so dang HOT! But it has so much to do and such good shopping. I would totally live there but unfortunately I don't think your bro would ever move there- No hunting!
