Reminiscing

As our time in Kansas City draws to a close, so many things that have been such a huge part of our lives are coming to an end as well.  We are beyond excited for the next chapter of our lives in Idaho, but it is also hard to say goodbye to all the things that we love!

It is crazy to say, but my year of Seminary has finally come to an end.  In some ways, it is so exciting that we made it through this year alive, but in other ways, I am so sad that it is over.  It is such a bitter sweet feeling.  I love my Seminary kids as much as I love my own kids and the last few mornings that we have been apart have been hard for me.  I am eternally grateful that I had this opportunity to spend each morning with our future and I am a better person because of them!  Aren't they all so cute!

On the last day of class, we had a big party complete with lots of food, lots of Living-like-Larry, and lots of memories.

Here they are the last few minutes of class singing our class song, D&C 19:16-19.  Memories!

Nate was released from the Bishopric on Mother's Day and it was also a bitter sweet day - Bitter because he won't get to spend each Sunday with two amazing men and Sweet because now I have some additional help to wrestle two very busy children during Sacrament meeting!  Hayden was so excited that Daddy could actually ride to and from church with us.  That hasn't happened in such a long time.

Check out Cora's stank face!  She just wanted her mama!

A few weeks ago was also the first annual Kansas City Temple Run.  It was a 5K around the temple and  it was so much fun!  So many friends were there and we partied it up!  How I am going to miss all of our wonderful friends here in KC!

To celebrate graduation, my friend Rachel planned a fun BBQ at the park.  We felt lucky to get an invite because we technically graduated last year.  Look what nerds we are pretending we are still young and agile!  I think our cheerleading days are long since past!

Amy planned a fun pizza and movie night with the boys to get them all together one last time.  We are so blessed to have such great friends that have become our family here.  Hayden doesn't quite get the magnitude that we are all moving our separate ways, but I sure do!

Girls - I am going to miss you all so much.  Thank you for making this home for us for the past 5 years.  I don't know what we would have done without you!

And just for your enjoyment - a daily dose of Coco.  Check out that bed-head - isn't she divine!

I can't believe that chapter of your lives is already over! How crazy! But I do have a feeling we'll be seeing each other more often now and that makes me happy.

I love the sweet picture, I love the goodbyes. I can't believe I've been gone for 2 years! Oh my.

Your family is beautiful. I love ms. cora and I know her and laney would have been mighty tight if we would still have been there.

I laughed out loud at Cora's "stank" face. Funny girl.
I loved your post. Congrats on "graduating" from seminary, you are awesome to have done that.
We will miss you guys so much. I told Nate outside tonight that you guys have contributed so much to our experience here. We love your family, I am glad we are not pioneers and that I can still keep in touch via facebook. Or maybe you can accidentally call me on your cell phone sometime... mix me up with one of your other Ali's :)
