You've Had a BIRTHDAY! Shout HOORAY!

Photobucket
First and foremost - Happy 2nd Birthday to my little Lovey!
I can't believe 2 years have already flown by. You are the greatest joy and I can't believe
I am lucky enough to have you in my life!
Photobucket
We celebrated your birthday with a little party with our friends and you were surprised
with the cutest Radio Flyer scooter. It was instant love!

For snacks, we had rainbow cupcakes, ice cream, and punch.

Fun with Gramma Jone - your Missouri Grandma

Cute presents from Toree.

We were also crazy lucky to have Grandma 'Nita come to visit for your birthday.
Here you are showing off your handsome Halloween costume for her.
Photobucket
Hayden was a little nervous with Grandma at first because last week we dropped him off to her in
Utah and went to Hawaii for a week without him. The first few days she was here, he wouldn't let
me out of his sight! He was a nervous wreck that we were going to leave him again.
Photobucket
Here is is with his presents from Cousin Ev. My sis-in-law Ali and Evan also came over just for Hay's
birthday from their trip to see another friend here in the good state of Missouri. It was so fun to
have them here to celebrate. I feel so bad I didn't get any cute pics of Hay and Evan together.
They sure do love each other!

HAWAII

Two weeks ago, we also had the incredible opportunity to go to Hawaii! It was amazing to spend
a whole week, just Nate and I, and what better place than in Hawaii! Nate and his friend Trevor
won a research competition in school so they had to present at the national ADA convention which
just happened to be in Hawaii this year. Trevor's wife Ashley and I just had to tag along and we
had the best week!
Photobucket
This night we went on a dinner cruise out of the ocean. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking
and the views of the Big Island were amazing. It was such a great night.

At the awards banquet that night the Trevor and Ashley.

This is one of the many beautiful views that we saw that we just had to capture.
Photobucket
This was at Haunama Bay where we went snorkling with Trevor and Ashley.
There were so many fish it was crazy!
Photobucket

Nate and I also went to Pearl Harbor one morning. What an amazing experience - to stand over
the USS Arizona and know that over 900 men lost their lives there was just overwhelming to me.
It definitely gave me a newfound respect for our service men and women.
If you are ever there, please go.
Photobucket
Sadly, Fatty's Chinese Kitchen had been closed down, so we couldn't enjoy their delicacies!
Photobucket
Some of the beautiful flowers that my friend Ashley captured in Hawaii.
Photobucket
We also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center with Trevor and Ashley. We took a shuttle over
to the Temple, but sadly, they are doing renovations on it and it is closed for the next year. The
lights weren't even on! What a bummer!

The new night show at the PCC is incredible! I loved every second of it.
Photobucket
Look at the size of this snail! We saw this little guy at the temple along with about 20 others.
They were everywhere!
Photobucket
Here is Nate body surfing. Our hotel was right on the beach at Waikiki and it was so fun to look
out your hotel room window and see the waves crashing in. When can I go back!?!
Photobucket
One last picture of us at the hotel. We had such a great time in Hawaii and it was so great to get
away from real life for minute and just enjoy each other's company. Thanks to my Mom and Nate's
Mom for watching Hayden for us and for taking such great care of him. It was so weird to not have
anyone but myself to take care of all week! Thanks also to Trevor and Ashley for the fun week and
for all of our friends and neighbors for keeping out house standing while we were away!
Photobucket
Here are just a couple of random picture that were also on my
camera that hadn't made it to the blog yet.
One of our favorite places here in KC is the Deanna Rose Farm.
It is just a cute little farm with animals, fishing, playgrounds and fun.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Hay absolutely loves to feed the goats when we go here. He isn't the least bit scared of them!
Photobucket
Here is my latest DIY project. I picked up this chair at the local Goodwill for $7.00 and
painted and recovered the cushion. I think it turned out pretty cute.
Photobucket
Here are two of my cute boy.
This is his new favorite place to sit - up on the arm of the couch.
He just relaxes up there and watches Barney whenever I let him.
He also loves to help me cook. Here we were making Banana Bread and he wanted a taste.
Bring on the salmonella!
Photobucket
Last but not least, a few weeks ago Nate and I also went to a Chiefs game.
It was so fun because our seats were on the 3rd
row and Nate had a perfect view of the game and I had a perfect view of the cheerleaders.
We were both happy!
